Am I finally back?

Going through stuff and sending a photo from this blog I suddenly realized that I havn't been here for hrm a very very long time! I thought you might want to see my latest tatting projects

Just have to say that I got two! very nice comments on my blogg. And I am such a poor blogger with post far apart.

Pear - Who so nicely wonders if I sell any of my stuff. I am defenitely open too that. Nobody asked before! Well a few friends but none on the web. This really does marvelous things to my selfesteem! Thanks!

HannaZ who also likes my stuff, What a great day this is! I was sort of a little blue. My Son and I are going to the Stats next Saturday and now he's down with a bad cold. Which I am sincerely hoping he does not pas on to me. I want us both healty for our trip and hope he gets well soon!

Hi and especially welcome all proper readers!

I got a loooong comment in Chinese to a post here - it turned out to be a dirty one. I will never put a comment in a language I do not know of in my blog. Now I'm lucky I have a Chinese friend how could check it out and told me not to bother. It would have been fun it had been related to the subject but it was not.

All you nice and good people please feel free to comment and enjoy my blog. The rest of you Take a hike! I would not have thought dirty people would follow craft blogs but apparently the do.

Can you believe it?

Finally finished with my tatting nick nacks that has been sitting around waiting to get the end threads hidden and starched the lot of it! For some reason I put hidding the end off with a few of them because I find it soo booring. It does not improve with time I can tell you! They made a nice bouquet in my hand and it felt nice to now that I made so many off them.

I have been tatting on and off for the last year and a half, time always seems to be slipping away between my fingers. But I gues I managed an Angel once every week. The cooking of starch took 2 minutes, the work of starching the angels a little longer.... LOL. It is nice though to have finished this.

Last spring a bought light green linnen fabric in Stockholm and some realy wonderful bright multicolord thread from "Tat's a kool challenge". I have every intention of trying to make a spring bag with off the fabric decorated with the lovely colored thread from "Tat's a kool challenge" and hopefully not have to wait another year until I can post the result here at blogspot.

The photos are from my kitchen and off the proccess getting the Angels starched and I thought it could be fun to put the photos out to you guys. Sorry about the clutter but that's life for me.

Now I have all my angels in a glass book shelf - sorry my english gets a way from me - and I am thinking of what to do with them. Christmas gifts, exibition, making the choire I've been talking about for such a long time. Please feel free to give me futher ideas!

Last but not least book 3

'TATTING ADVENTURES with beads, shuttle & needle' by Judith Connors. The other ones I love but this thrills me and I will probably start with trying to make the front cover pattern. Does it not look neat?



I am not a needle tatter myself, I prefer wooden shuttles and my favorit ones all comes from the Shuttle shop. I am very partial to the touch of wood and I regard all their shuttles as small pieces of art. I all ready have to many - NOT - by them but I can't seem to stop buying them when ever I have the money. But I guess we all have to have at least one addiction, I don't think shuttle addiction is too bad, do you?

Book 2

'Tatting from burda' Burda always has such excellent patterns. It does not matter if it is fabric or what have you. I just hope I can get enough peace of mind to try to make some tatting from this book.

Books 1

This is a wonderful book by Mark Myers, angels, angels and more angels. All in all 12 of them, enough - by my rate anyhow - to keep me buzy until Christmas 2010! Now the angels I'm doing now - pattern by Eileen Stafford 'Leens Tatted Angel' can get some friends of different shapes and sizes. =)

Long time no see!

Hi Guys!

Thought it was high time to update my blogg. I know I have not been the most frequent blogger but that is as it is. Anyhow I had a look at TattingChicks blog and got inspired so here I am once again. Also I recieved 3 Tatting books that I ordered from Be-stiched, Nancy Tracy, they came today and boy o boy I am a happy camper! I took photos of them and I hope you can enjoy them almost as much as me... =)

I also have to tell you that my cousin met a lady from Chile in our subway in Stockholm/Sweden. I presume she was tatting because my cousin told her of me and got me the Lady's phone number and we will get together come monday! She lives just a few stations away from where me and my family lives. Meeting tatters in Sweden is extremely rare, unless you live in the southern part of Sweden where there are more of them. Don't ask me why. I am very much looking forward to meet her!

They fit!

Here she is the little princess of the day.

I'm soo thrilled! Today she was baptized and she did really good. After a her little dip in the water she got her new outfit together with the new booties. Tomorrow she turns eight months so there is no chance the original ones where going to fit her. It was a grand and beautiful day for all of us!

What is it?

Do you rember that I told you that I stopped tatting before Christmas? Well I did but not before I made these things and as you can see a lot of them! Now I need to starch them and put them up. Can you guess what they are?

I have been working...

On my new booties for my hubby's assistants daughter. She had a hard time getting a date for the baptism for the baby and the baby grew out of the first pair of booties so I made another pair. This time a little bigger and hubby's assistant better keep her apointment with the minister because I have no intention of making a lager pair! LoL

She will get a new outfit after her baptism in white and red hence the colors of the booties. All I have to get now is a red ribbon to the booties and we are good to go!

Hi everyone!

It has been such a hectic time that I have not done any tatting. I sort of stopped right before Christmas, but now I'm back at it again. As soon as I have charged my batteries to my camera I intend to post a few photos. Bye untill then!

Angels! I played around a little bit with L. English pattern of an angel but made the skirt wider. Then I starched them and now I have a bunch of praising Angels arriving just in time for Christmas! They are so fun to make and the multiply very quickly. They probably like the company of each other and the Bible talks often of a multitude of angels so I guess that that is as it should be :)

Bought me a birthday gift! And knowing me he went and got me some more shuttles. Can one acctually get to many? Leading question - of course not!

As you may know by now I got some new thread from Tatskool and I could not wait to get started so I made heart. It's from my favorit pattern by Mary Konior from her book Visual pattern. Isn't it lovely?!

Browsing around at e-tatters I found the original pattern for my spider so I'd like to add the address here and give due credit to Birgit! Who I think made it in the first place.
